Brownstone is an independent commercial real estate consulting group based in the Washington, D.C. area dedicated to advising investors during volatile property situations. For five years we have developed and negotiated customized debt and equity restructurings and resolutions nationwide. Unique to real estate advisory firms, our principals have all devoted their careers exclusively to commercial real estate loan workouts and originations, and they have decades of national money–center and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) real estate loan experience throughout the country. Each of the three principals has restructured debt during the last major industry downturn of the late 1980’s and early 1990's, which affords Brownstone the seasoned perspective to preserve and protect your real property assets in today’s complicated and volatile markets.

With our collective negotiating experience totaling over $4.5 billion of commercial real estate debt, Brownstone is proficient at evaluating and restructuring loans on all institutional property types including office, multi-family, hotel, industrial, mixed-use, condominium, single-family subdivisions, and special-use. We have workout expertise of both single-asset loans ranging from $5 million-$200 million, and larger multi-property debt portfolios, as well.
