Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Brownstone Capital is a commercial real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition, ownership, and repositioning of assets throughout the Mid-Atlantic and select markets across the United States.
Our investment philosophy is grounded in disciplined underwriting, creative problem solving, and a contrarian approach to value creation. The firm's strategy is informed by decades of experience spanning real estate acquisitions, real estate finance, distressed debt workouts and restructurings, investment banking, venture capital, and corporate finance. Brownstone principals have participated in the acquisition, development, or financing of more than 40 commercial real estate assets representing over $750 million of invested capital and several million square feet across retail, industrial, office, multifamily, and land investments. In addition, the team has advised borrowers on more than $2 billion of CMBS and complex debt restructurings, providing a unique perspective on capital markets, risk management, and transaction execution.
Geographic Focus
Brownstone primarily invests throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and select primary and secondary markets along the Eastern Seaboard.
